Linie is one of Melbournes’ most established and sought after hair and makeup artists. Along with her energy and optimism, Lin brings a sense of ethical values that makes her an indispensable asset to her loyal clients.

She is renowned for her lightness of touch, seemingly effortlessly producing a fresh and natural style, highlighting her subject’s radiant beauty. Flexible and adaptable, Lin can create the drama of glamour and the ‘character looks’ as per directors’ or art directors’ brief.

Starting as a hairdresser in 1992, first at Fadi (Brisbane) ,Efbee (Melbourne), Linie mastered the skill of deconstructed hair cutting and styling techniques with Kusco Murphy Salon (Melbourne). She was drawn to the fashion industry through working with Kevin Murphy and April Greaves (now located in NYC).

Lin’s initial body of work centred on photographic stills working with Australian icons such as Metalicus, Decuba, Natio, Mossimo, Paul Frank, Country Road, Levante, Bonds, Jag, Diana Ferrari, TS, Fred Bare, San Pellegrino to name a few. 25 years as a hair and makeup artist, her client list has also included Myer, David Jones, Kmart, Sportsgirl, Portmans, Nike, Adidas, Jeans West, and Just Jeans.

Headhunted by director Di Leach originally @ EXiT films, Lin transitioned seamlessly to TVC via a beautiful black and white television campaign for Olay in 2007.

Lin has subsequently worked in film, television, and fashion shoots and loves working in a team with other makeup artists, assistants and collaborators for larger TVC projects. Where SFX is required, she has a trusted team she enlists.

Her TVC clients have included Vic Tourism, Endota Spa, Garnier, Olay, City of Melbourne, BMW, Alfa, Mazda, Toyota, Honda, Holden, Hyundai, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Ford, Chandon for Melb GrandPrix, Australia Post, Aust Super, Worksafe, Apia, Westpac, NAB, Energy Aust, RACV, TAC, Myer, Kmart, Target, Portmans, Bonds, FineLines, Libra , Samsung, Phillips, Realestate, Crown, El Paso, Sprite, Dove, Dare iced coffee, Heaven, Casa Domani, Maxwell Williams, A2, Helgas, McCain, Sunraysia, Doritos, 711, M&M’s, Devondale, Yoplait, Fruche, Bet Fair, William Hill, Sportsbet,Ladbrokes, VB, Carlton, Officeworks, Seek, Vileda, Carpet Court reBrand, Caboodle, Iselect, Mattel Barbie, Virgin Australia, Tiger Air, … & continues to work on stills campaigns with direct clients such as Gazman, Republic, Mooks, CottonOn, Kmart, RussellAthletic, Review, Black Pepper and First Ever and others.

Previously repped by The Look & Coco Productions, Lin joined Freelancers Promotions in 2008, where her skills and diversity has grown exponentially, as she has become a much valued part of the filmcrew family.
